The purpose and aim of Elkhorn Community Church is to glorify God. We seek to accomplish this through the public worship of God, preaching and teaching of the Bible, and fellowship and edification of our members through consistent Christian living.

We Believe the Bible is the only Word of God, fully and verbally inspired in its original text. This infallible Scripture is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We Believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We Believe that the perfect and holy God created mankind in His own image. Man, however, sinned and incurred physical and spiritual death which caused a separation from God.

We Believe that God, by His love for man, sent Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners.

We Believe that Jesus is the son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to a virgin. He was God and man, living a sinless life.

We Believe that Christ was crucified, died for our sins, and was resurrected on the third day, atoning for the sins of the believer through His shed blood.

We Believe that Christ ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the church and interceding for believers until His imminent and visible return to earth in power and glory.

We Believe all who receive Christ by faith are saved by grace and free from the condemnation of sin. We are only justified by this faith and no amount of good works or law keeping can save us.

We believe in the resurrection of all men upon death, those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation in hell and those who are resurrected into eternal life to be joint heirs with Christ.

We Believe in the existence of Satan, who is still working in the world to destroy souls and that he and all his angels and all who do not receive Christ as their personal Savior will eternally perish in the lake of fire.

We Believe the goal of the Christian is to use their God-given gift(s) to serve Him to the best of their ability and present the Gospel to others in their daily lives.

We Believe in the Holy Spirit, sent from the Father to convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement. We believe that He administers spiritual gifts to the church of believers. We believe that speaking in tongues and the working of signs and miracles were distinct to the beginning days of the church and do not practice them. He is come to regenerate, indwell, sanctify, instruct, and comfort believers.

We Believe in the submersion of water as the biblical method of baptism to represent and symbolize the spiritual burial of the old life and the spiritual birth of the new life.

We Believe in baptism and the Lord’s Supper as the sacraments given by the Lord to be administered to believers only.
